Long after the memories of chapel talks and campfires have faded, campers still remember their counselors. That is why staff members are selected based on leadership ability, maturity, love for children, and most importantly, their commitment to Jesus Christ.

Each staff member is carefully screened through a work application, character references, and a comprehensive interview. All staff participate in our 10-day orientation/training program prior to the campers arrival and are supervised by professional staff on a daily basis. All Camp Warwick staff have at least one year of college or work experience.

You loved Camp Warwick as a camper, and you always hoped that someday you would be a counselor at Camp Warwick. Here is your chance to apply to be a Camp Warwick Pace Setter - a camp ministry for counselors-in-training.

A special program for 11th and 12th grade graduates is designed to help you grow in your Christian life as you work with campers
and staff. You will assist counselors in program areas and camp activities. Pace Setters will act as support staff and be involved in service projects. This is an ideal opportunity to see
the other side of camp life and prepare yourself to be a future Camp Warwick summer staff member. Pace Setters are not paid but the learning experience is priceless. Each Pace Setter is required to attend the training session held the week of June 29 - July 4, 2008.

Camp Sunrise offers a unique opportunity to experience a life-changing week by participating as a Camp Sunrise Volunteer Counselor. Those who have completed 9th grade and up are welcome to volunteer. Camp Sunrise is a Christian camp designed for specially-abled campers ages 8-55. Campers receive care and supervision from a carefully selected group of summer staff and volunteers. Each volunteer is assigned to work with a camper specifically, and every camper generally.

Our staff receives thorough training in all aspects of physical care, lifting, emergency response, teamwork, programing and sharing your faith with our special needs campers. All volunteers are required to attend the training session on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Camp Warwick.
